Checkerboard Cake
This cake is so freakin' cool. Both times that I've made it, people were totally amazed about the inside pattern. You have to get a special pan with a divider ring, which is how the pattern is created. I got the pan and the recipe from Williams-Sonoma, but you can find the pan at other stores too. It's a little time-consuming to make the pattern for each cake later, but it looks so cool that you probably won't care! :)
