General Washington's Hot Buttered Rum

My husband may as well be George Washington reincarnate. We watch hours of Revolutionary war movies and documentaries. He is disgusted by the "youth of today" and anything related to reality TV, MTV or celebrity. He's currently entralled by "Valley Forge" a novel by Newt Gingrich and William R. Forstchen. Apparently in the book everyone is drinking Hot Buttered Rum. I found this recipe on FoodNetwork.com's website by Emeril. It's oh so yummy whether you give a flip about American History or not.
