$100 Cake

Dessert 

• 2 1/4 C flour
• 1 C + 2 T sugar
• 4 1/2 T cocoa powder
• 1 3/4 t baking soda
• 1 3/4 t baking powder
• 1 C + 2 T mayonnaise (not light)
• 1 C + 2 T cold water
• 2 1/4 t vanilla
• Frosting

Mix dry ingredients.

Add mayo and water.

Mix until thoroughly blended. Add vanilla.

Bake in a 9X13 pan 35-40 minutes at 350 degrees.

Cool, then frost.

The family story is that someone back in the mists of time won a contest with this cake and the prize was $100. If you're a little thrown off by the mayonnaise in recipe, just think of it as eggs and oil!
