Why I Love This Recipe
I found Frozen Corn to have a better "crunch" than canned, and it can be a little cheaper per ounce- for the frugal buyers. I've always enjoyed my Corn sweet and slightly salty, so I believe this recipe works sided with fish, poultry, beef, or pork.
Ingredients You'll Need
2c Frozen Whole Kernel Corn OR 2 (15.25oz) cans Whole Kernel Corn
1 1/2- 2c Water- to cover
1 1/2 Tbsp Butter or Margarine
2 1/2 tsp granulated Sugar
1/2 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Seasoned Salt
1/8 tsp Black Pepper
Directions
1) In a medium sauce pot, add all ingredients. Boil on medium-high heat for 3 minutes.
2) Reduce heat and simmer an additional 10 minutes until corn is tender. (Canned corn can have a shorter cook time, where as frozen corn might require longer. The perfect simmer time will allow the corn to absorb the flavors better!)
