Ingredients

  • Ingredients:
  • 100 gms butter
  • 1 1/2 tbsp golden syrup or brown sugar corn syrup
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 3/4 c desiccated coconut
  • 3/4 c rolled oats
  • 3/4 c flour
  • 1 tsp bi-carb soda
  • 1 tbsp hot water

Directions

  • 1. Melt butter and syrup together in a large saucepan
  • 2. Cool. Mix sugar, coconut, rolled oats and flour together and stir into saucepan
  • 3. Dissolve soda in water and mix in
  • 4. Use a soup spoon sized mound to press onto the cookie sheet
  • 5. Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes, or until golden brown
