Why I Love This Recipe


Ingredients You'll Need

6 to 8 apples
1 1/2 c. dark brown sugar
1 c. water
2 tsp. vinegar
4 Tbsp. flour
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
double pie crust recipe


Directions

Slice apples. Heat half sugar with water and vinegar.


Add apples and simmer until tender. Remove apples from syrup.


Mix remaining sugar and flour and salt. Add slowly to syrup


and cook until thickened. Remove from stove and add butter and


vanilla. Fill crust with apples and pour hot mixture over


apples. Put on top crust. Bake at 425 degrees for 10 minutes, then


reduce heat to 375 degrees for 25 to 35 minutes.
