All-American Meat Loaf

This is one of my family's favorites. And leftovers make good sandwiches. I sometimes add a little of my favorite bbq sauce to the sauce when I'm feeling froggy!

INGREDIENTS

  • Servings: 8
  • 2 pounds ground chuck
  • 3/4 cup uncooked quick cooking oats
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 3 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp prepared mustard

DIRECTIONS

Combine first 8 ingredients in a large bowl; shape into 2 (7-1/2 x 4 in) loaves. Place on a lightly greased rack in broiler pan; bake at 350 for 40 minutes.


Combine 1/2 cup ketchup, brown sugar and mustard; spoon over meat loaf and bake 15 more minutes or until meat thermometer registers 160. 8 Servings.
