Almond Milk

Serves 6 cups | Prep Time 15 minutes | Cook Time none

Ingredients

1/2 cup raw almonds
6 cups cold water
1 tsp Vanilla
6 packs splenda or 1/4 cup of sweetener of your choice


Use a nut or coffee grinder to grind the nuts into powder


Place ground nuts and 2 cups water in blender. Blend on highest setting for a full 5 minutes


Add rest of water and strain ( I use a metal tea strainer )


Let milk sit for 2-3 minutes to allow solids to settle and then strain again


Add vanilla and sweeter

I have trouble with milk now ( not the lactose, the pills dont help ). Organics ok but expensive. This was an inexpensive solution that allows me to make fresh milk when I want it. super easy and takes about 10-15 minutes
