ANGIE NOTEBOOM'S HOMEMADE ICE CREAM

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 (14-ounce) can evaporated milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 quarts half-and-half
  • Extra half and half

Directions

  • Beat eggs; place in container of ice cream maker. Add vanilla, evaporated milk, sugar and salt; mix. Pour in half-and-half. Fill to top with more half and half. Mix in ice cream maker until thick and rich.
