2 1/2 cups milk
2 cups day old bread, cubed
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons butter
Directions
Combine all of the ingredients, except for the butter in a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish. Mix until well blended. Dot with the butter. Place the casserole dish in a pan filled 1 inch deep with hot water. Bake at 325 for about 45-55 minutes or until aknife inserted halfway between the center and edge comes out clean. To distribute the raisins and walnuts, stir after about 20 minutes of baking.
