Apple- Blackberry Crisp
2 cups all purpose flour
1 ½ cups sugar
¼ tsp. salt
1 cup (2 sticks) chilled unsalted butter, cut into pieces
5 lb. Golden Delicious Apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
1 ½ cups fresh blackberries or frozen, thawed and drained
1 cup sugar
¼ cup all purpose flour
Mix flour, sugar& salt in flood processor; add butter and blend until resembles coarse crumbs (can prepare a day ahead and chill).
Preheat oven to 350’
Butter a 9”x13” baking dish
Toss fruit with sugar and flour.
Transfer mixture to baking dish and crumble topping over fruit.
Bakes until fruit bubbles and topping is a golden brown; about 1 hour.
Pairs Well With
I don't know where this recipe came from, but it is simple and delicous. I recommend that you serve it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream while it is still warm.
