BackstoryI found this in Taste of Home, tried it and loved it! It's a great treat anytime, even during a chilly fall. I liked it so much that I convinced my mother-in-law to serve it at her cookie exchange. (I love to drink this out of a fancy glass. It's especially good with homemade ice cream and cider.)
- 1 quart vanilla ice cream, softened
- 2 quarts apple cider or juice
- Ground nutmeg
- In each of eight chilled glasses, place 1/2 cup of ice cream. Add 1 cup of cider or juice to each; sprinkle with nutmeg. Serve immediately.
