I got this recipe from my one of my uncles' cookbooks. There is no one person it belongs to, it has just been handed down through the years. My dad has a ton of apple trees and this is one way to get rid of the apples. I usually make this dessert for my neighbor for morning coffee. It is wonderful for the cook with little in their kitchen.

  • Apples:
  • 1-1 1/2 c. sugar
  • Cinnamon
  • Butter
  • Topping:
  • 1 c flour
  • 1 c brown sugar
  • 1 stick butter

  • Mix together until crumbly.
  • Fill 9x13 in pan with sliced apples.
  • Sprinkle sugar over apples. Sprinkle cinnamon on top of apples. Dot with butter. Put topping mixture over apples.
  • Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Serve hot or cold. Best served warm with ice cream.
