Why I Love This Recipe
This is the only way I will eat apple crisp. Of course it's mom's recipe:O) (Actually it's from Betty Crocker cookbook, copyright 1950!!) I've tried so many other recipes and they just don't have it! Know what I mean? Here it is:
Ingredients You'll Need
Place in buttered 10 X 6 X 2" baking dish*:
4 c. sliced apples
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. water
3/4 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/3 c. butter
Drop mixture over apples. Bake at 350º for 40 minutes. Serve warm with cream.
*I've never been able to find this size pan, so I use a 9 X 13 X 2" pan and one-and-a-half the recipe!
