Augratin Cabbage Casserole
1 Tbsp bacon grease
2 cups cabbage, shredded
½ cup carrot, grated
¼ cup green onions, chopped
½ cup skim milk
3 Tbsp Swiss cheese, shredded
¼ tsp seasoned salt
1 Tbsp fresh parsley, minced
1 Tbsp parmesan cheese, shredded
1 Preheat oven to 350° F.
2 Sauté cabbage, carrots, and onions in bacon grease until tender‐crisp.
3 Place mixture in a greased shallow 1 qt. baking dish.
4 In a bowl, combine egg, milk, Swiss cheese, and seasoned salt; pour over the vegetables.
5 Sprinkle the parsley and parmesan cheese over the top; bake uncovered for 30 to 35 minutes or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean
