AUNT BARBARA'S PEACH COBBLER

Ingredients

  • 2/3 to 1 Cup Sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 3 tbs shortening
  • 1 tbs corn starch
  • 4 cups of peaches
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup of milk

Directions

  • Mix sugar and cornstarch gradually
  • Add water
  • Bring to boil
  • Boil for one minute
  • Stirring Constantly
  • Add fruit and juice dot with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon
  • Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt
  • Cut in shortening until crumbly
  • Mix in milk
  • Dot On top of fruit to make crust
  • Bake 25 to 30 minutes uncovered in 400° oven until crust is golden
