Why I Love This Recipe

Aunt Jenny is my grandmother's aunt. This recipe was written from memory by my grandmother - hence, very few specifics! This is a very old, traditional shortbread recipe.


Ingredients You'll Need

1 lb. butter, softened
1 cup sugar
4 cups flour


Directions

Whip butter and sugar until creamy. Add flour, will turn into doughy-like ball.


Press into 9x13 baking dish or Pan. Prong with fork


Bake at 275 for 1.5 hours.


Cut into squares


Place back in oven until oven cools.


Prong dough about every 1/2 to 2 in.
