AUNT LOUISE’S MEAT LOAF

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 can drained spinach
  • Topping mixture:
  • ½ can tomato paste
  • 2 T brown sugar
  • 2 T vinegar
  • 2 T mustard
  • 1 cup water

Directions

  • Mix to form loaf – place in baking dish and cover with the sauce mixture.
  • Bake uncovered for 1 ½ hours at 350. Baste with topping mixture as it cooks.
