AUNT SHARRON'S ALMOND CHICKEN

Ingredients

  • 2 cups diced raw chicken
  • 1 cup celery, diced
  • 1/4 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup toasted almonds
  • 1 cup water chestnuts, drained
  • 1 package frozen pea pods

Directions

  • Heat garlic and chicken until cooked. Add 2 tablespoons soy sauce, a little sugar, 1 cup water and the rest of the ingredients except for the nuts. Thicken mixture with cornstarch and water mixture then sprinkle with nuts before serving. Serve over rice.
