Authentic Middle Eastern Hummus

Ingredients

1 can Garbanzo beans
2-3 tablespoons Tahini
A dash of salt and pepper
1 large clove of garlic
Juice of 1 fresh squeezed lemon
Bit of Paprika
Drizzle of Olive Oil


Open can of garbanzo beans and spill out half of the water then pour into blender.


Add 3 Tbsp of Tahini to blender.


Add dash of Salt and Pepper


Add clove of Garlic.


Add juice of fresh squeezed Lemon.


Blend for several minutes until nice and creamy.


Pour contents onto plate then add a drizzle of olive oil and a few shakes of Paprika. I like to save a few garbanzos to put on top as well.

This recipe came from my Safta (Grandmother) in Jerusalem. She eats this daily with Pits bread and is today 96 years young and healthy as can be. Fountain of youth?
