Why I Love This Recipe
Health Benefits of Apples:
Apples are loaded with essential vitamins and minerals to keep your little ones healthy. Apples contain carbohydrates that provide children with the energy they need to work and play, mineral boron which is essential to your children because it helps harden their bones, pectin which is a soluble fiber that assists your children in digesting foods more easily and is useful in treating diarrhea, and vitamin C which is used for growth, tissue repair and to make collagen.
Selecting the Perfect Apple:
Apples should be firm to the touch. For red varietal apples, look for the green background to be covered mostly by red or pink-orange hues. Apples with full color have absorbed lots of sunlight which leads to great flavors. Avoid apples that are noticeably soft, discolored, or indent easily after you press the skin.
