Ingredients

1 lb. pkg. navy beans
1 c. barley
1/3 lb. bacon
1 medium onion, chopped
salt and pepper



Boil navy beans until tender. Boil the barley. Drain


and mix both. Fry 1/3 pound bacon, remove bacon and add


chopped onion to grease and saute. Mix beans, barley, onion,


bacon grease and bacon together in a 2 quart casserole. Cover


with water and bake uncovered for 1 to 2 hours or until liquid


is absorbed at 300 degrees. Serve with Polish sausage. Good!
