BEANS N’ RICE
1 Can Red Kidney Beans
3 Strips Bacon, Chopped
1 Medium Size Onion Chopped
1 Cup Water
Salt & Pepper to taste
3 Cups Prepared Rice
Brown the bacon over a medium heat in a sauce pan.
Add onion and sauté until lightly browned.
Add 1 can of beans, water and seasoning.
Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 30 to 40 minutes.
Stir occasionally until thick sauce is developed.
Spoon each serving over prepared rice.
Best served with a fried egg on top.
Add Italian or French bread, salad and your favorite beverage for a complete meal.
