Ingredients You'll Need
500G BEEF STEAK CHUNKS
X2 MEDIUM CARROTS ROUGHLY CHOPPED.
X1 LARGE SPANISH ONION DICED.
X2 MEDIUM ZUCHINNIE
HANDFUL OF BUTTON MUSHROOMS HALVED.
1 BEEF CASSEROLE RECIPE BASE SATCHET.
X2 TABLESPOONS TOMATO SAUCE.
1 1/2 CUPS WATER.
6 MEDIUM POTATOES HALVED
Preheat saucepan on stove onmedium heat
Add diced onion and beef chunks
Cook until brown
Remove from stove
Add chopped carrots zuchinni and mushrooms to pot cook for approx 15 mins
Add Cooke onion and beef chunks
And mix together
Add 1 packet of beef casserole recipe base
2 tbspns of tomatoe sauce and and 1 1/2 cups of water mix thoroughly turn heat to low and let simmer for 15-20mins.
Once thickened remove from stove.
You also can boil the potatoes when cooking the beef casserole to save time.
Once potatoes are boiled mash them together with a 1 tbspn of butter
Place 1 sheet of puff pastry into a pie or tart dish sprinkle with sea salt and brush with a whisked egg .
Place beef casserole into our dish
Be sure not to over fill or the bottom will go soggy.
Place mashed potato on top of the beef casserole and spread out till all is covered
You have the option to add cheese to the top of the potato or to the top of the crust.
Wich ever you prefer.
Place another sheet of puff pastry to top and fold the sides if it falls over the edge of dish brush with whisked egg
With a fork poke some holes into the top
Not to many though
Put in oven fro approx 2 1/2 hrs or until golden brown .
