Bacon Wrapped Mushrooms
10 slices bacon
20 medium sized button mushrooms
Salt and pepper
Cut bacon slices in half crosswise. Cut stems off mushrooms and discard. Using your fingers moisten mushroom caps with water; sprinkle lightly with salt and cracked black pepper. Wrap mushrooms in bacon slices stretching the bacon slightly to fit snuggly around the mushrooms. No need to use toothpicks.
Place mushroom appetizers seam side down on foil lined baking sheet.
Bake at 400° for 15 minutes; transfer baking sheet under the broiler for 3 minutes to crisp the bacon. Serve on a platter
