Baked Onion Swiss Dip
2 Tbs butter( used olive oil)
3 large vidalia onions, chopped
2 cups swiss cheese( used low fat)
2 cups of mayonnaise( used low fat)
1 can chopped water chestnuts
1/4 cup dry white wine( used dry sherry)(used 1 Tbs)
1 clove garlic minced
1/2 tsp hot sauce
Saute the onions in the butter.
Combine swiss cheese with the next 5 ingredients. Mix well.
Add to the onion mixture and again mix well.
Pour into a greased 2 QT casserole dish and bake for 25 minutes at 375.
Allow to sit for 10 minutes before serving
