6 HOT BAKED POTATOS

3 CHOPPED GREEN ONIONS
1 CUBE SOFT BUTTER
I CARTON SOUR CREAM (16 OZ)
1 CUP SHREEDED SHARP YELLOW CHE


COMBINE ALL INGREDIENTS, HAVE AT ROOM TEMPETURE BEFORE TOPPING HOT BAKED POTATOS. WILL KEEP IN REFRIGERATOR FOR SEVERAL DAYS.

THIS RECIPE CAME ABOUT LONG AGO, WHEN RAISING A BIG FAMILY AND MONEY WAS TIGHT. I WENT TO SERVE BAKED POTATOES ONE NIGHT AND FOUND I ONLY HAD A WEE BIT OF BUTTER LEFT. WE HAD TACOS THE NIGHT BEFORE. SO I TOOK THE ONION, (YELLOW AT THAT TIME) AND CHEESE THAT WAS LEFT, ADDED IT TO A SMALL BIT OF SOUR CREAM, AND THE BUTTER. YEA! NOW I HAD ENOUGH.


WHEN THE CHILDREN ASK WHAT IT WAS, I SAID IT'S "SECRET SAUSE".


SEVERAL YEARS LATER, URGED ON BY THE KIDS. I ENTERED THE "SECRET SAUSE" IN THE COUNTY FAIR. WON 1ST PRIZE!
