- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 2 medium bananas, mashed
- 2 tbsp sour milk (add 1/2 tsp vinegar to 2 tbsp milk)
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp soda
- Cream the butter and sugar. Add the eggs, one at a time, creaming well after each addition. In another bowl, combine the flour, salt and soda. Add alternately to the butter mixture: the flour mixture, bananas and milk.
- Add the flour mixture first and last.
- Pour batter in a greased loaf pan. bake at 350° for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Makes 1 loaf
