Why I Love This Recipe


Ingredients You'll Need

1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk (reserve ¼ cup)
1 small package instant vanilla pudding mix
¼ cup milk
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups whipping cream
Prebaked piecrust
1 (1-ounce) square sweetened chocolate
1 to 2 tablespoons milk, if needed for thinning
1 or 2 bananas, sliced
½ cup walnut or pecan pieces


Directions

1. Combine condensed milk (less ¼ cup), pudding mix, milk, and vanilla; whisk until smooth.


2. Whip the cream and fold it into the pudding mixture then put into the baked pie shell.


3. Combine the reserved ¼ cup condensed milk and 1 chocolate square in a saucepan; melt, stirring until smooth. If needed, add 1 to 2 tablespoons milk to thin the mixture.


Note: You may want more chocolate on top. If so, add 1 more chocolate square and a little more milk.


3. Slice 1 or 2 bananas over the filling, drizzle chocolate over bananas, and then sprinkle nuts on top.

I made this for dinner last night and it is awesome! But I did change the recipe a little. I folded a can of pineapple tidbits into the pudding mixture and divided into thirds. Ontop of the first third I put the sliced bananas, on the second third I put sliced fresh strawberries, finely on the last third I put the chocolate and nuts. This is diffently a being added to our house fav's! Thanks. kat-in-cheese
