Why I Love This Recipe
When I was growing up I remember telling my mother to make these more often! When my kids were under 5 I made these in lil meatballs and when they were older I used this recipe for Salmon Loaf.
Ingredients You'll Need
3 cans Pink Salmon
3-4 eggs (depends on egg size)
1 Stalk Celery minced
1 yellow onions minced
Garlic powder
Parsley flakes
Salt
Seasoned Bread Crumbs (not Italian seasoned)
Oil for frying (or for coating pan for Salmon Loaf)
Directions
Open and drain Salmon Put in bowl remove dark skin (feed skin to pets if you choose)(leave the soft bones they are good and give you some minerals)
Break up Salmon w/ a fork
Add eggs mix well
Add celery and onions mix well
Add 2 shakes garlic powder
Add 3 shakes salt
Add 3 shakes Parsley flakes
Add 3 Shakes Cilantro flakes mix well
Add bread crumbs a lil at a time until you can form it into a patty or a ball
Fry patties or balls in oil (if making Salmon Loaf put a generous amount of oil in the baking pan you use make sure to coat sides too. I use glass baking pans)
*NOTE This is a thick mixture and best mixed by hand. I use zip-lock type freezer bags for gloves :P Hey it works LOL
Also: Amounts of celery, onions, garlic powder, parsley, salt can be adjusted to you and your families tastes
