- GREEN BASE:
- 2-3 c spinach
- 4 kale leaves
- ADDED FRUITS:
- 1 apple, cored and diced
- 1 pear, cored and diced
- 1/2 lime
- 1 orange
- 1 c blueberries
- (If you have a powerful blender, just put it all in and blend!) Otherwise:
- 1. Add about 1/2 cup of water and about half the greens. Blend until smooth. Add in remaining greens and blend.
- 2. Squeeze in juice of the lime, then gradually add in remaining fruits, blending as you go.
- 3. Add additional water as needed to help with blending and make a nice smooth consistency.
NotesQuite the antioxidant kick! And all those wonderful detoxing enzymes from the kale. Plus loads of Vitamin C to help the immune system on a cold day, or for long periods of stress.
