BASIC GREEN SMOOTHIE 2

Ingredients

  • GREEN BASE:
  • 2-3 c spinach
  • 4 kale leaves
  • ADDED FRUITS:
  • 1 apple, cored and diced
  • 1 pear, cored and diced
  • 1/2 lime
  • 1 orange
  • 1 c blueberries

Directions

  • (If you have a powerful blender, just put it all in and blend!) Otherwise:
  • 1. Add about 1/2 cup of water and about half the greens. Blend until smooth. Add in remaining greens and blend.
  • 2. Squeeze in juice of the lime, then gradually add in remaining fruits, blending as you go.
  • 3. Add additional water as needed to help with blending and make a nice smooth consistency.

Notes

Quite the antioxidant kick! And all those wonderful detoxing enzymes from the kale. Plus loads of Vitamin C to help the immune system on a cold day, or for long periods of stress.
