Basic Yeast Bread

5 1/2 cups flour
2 packages active dry yeast
1/2 cup warm water
1 3/4 cup warm milk
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. salt
3 tbsp butter or margarine

Measure flour onto wax paper, sprinkle yeast into warm water in a large bowl. Stir until dissolved. Add milk , sugar, salt, and butter, Stir in 2 cups flour. Beat until mixed. Add rest of the flour gradually. Use enough flour to make a soft dough that pulls away in a moss from the sides of the bowl , turn out onto floured bowl, round dough into a ball. Knead 5-10 minutes or until dough is smooth, elgslia and no longer sticky. let reston beard 20 minutes covered. Punch down , divide dough into half, with a rolling pin or roll each potion into a rectangle , beggining with the peel and rell into a .
