BAVARIAN CHEESECAKE

Ingredients

  • Crust:
  • 3 Egg whites
  • 1 Cup sugar
  • 16 Saltine crackers,crushed
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 Cup chopped walnuts
  • Filling:
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 Cup confectioners sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 8 oz Cool Whip

Directions

  • Crust:
  • Beat egg whites unti stiffened,gradually beat in sugar,baking powder,vanilla and vinegar.
  • Fold in cracker and nuts.
  • Bake 15-20 minutes at 350.
  • Cool.
  • Filling:
  • Combine cream cheese and sugar first then vanilla and cool whip.
  • Spread on top of crust and top with comstock pie filling(cherry) if desired.
