BEEF AND BROCCOLI

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. Round Steak
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. ginger
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. corn starch
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 3 bunches fresh broccoli

Directions

  • Cut round steak into 2-3 inch long strips
  • Place in bowl and add soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, wine, and cornstarch
  • Mix and let stand in refrigerator for 30-40 min
  • In a fry pan heat 1 tbsp oil then add broccoli and ginger
  • Over Medium heat cook broccoli and ginger till crisp tender
  • Remove from heat and place on serving plate
  • Drain meat preserving liquid
  • heat fry pan with another tbsp oil
  • On high sear meat until almost done
  • add reserved liquid and stir
  • Add broccoli and stir
  • Remove from heat and serve over rice
