BEEF AND ONIONS IN BEER
Beef and Onions in Beer
INGREDIENTS
- Cooking Time: 200:00
- Servings: 12
- Preparation Time: 15:00
- 3lbs beef cut into small pieces
- 1 1/2 lb onions sliced
- 4 cloves garlic
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1 cup beef stock
- 2 to 3 cups beer
- 2 tbls brown sugar
- Parsley
- Bay leaf
- 1/2 tsp thyme
- 1 1/2 tbls cornstarch
- 2 tbls wine vinegar
DIRECTIONS
Brown beef then remove from pan to crock pot
Sauté onions about 10 minutes
Add salt, pepper and garlic then remove from pan to crock pot
Heat beef stock in same pan, pour over meat and onions
Add brown sugar, parsley, bay leaf, thyme and beer
Simmer in crock pot 3 hours
Mix cornstarch and vinegar, add to beef dish
Add more salt and pepper if needed
