BEEFY CHEESE DIP

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 2 1/2 oz dried beef*, **
  • 2 tbsp green pepper*
  • 2 tbsp onion*
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • *finely chop
  • **can substitute bacon

Directions

  • Set oven at 350 degrees
  • Mix all ingredients and place in casserole dish.
  • Bake for 15 min. Serve warm/hot.

Notes

I had this at a get-together several years ago and found it was good even when cool. Also, as I usually do, I changed one ingredient(the beef) to bacon and sometimes change the pecans to finely chopped walnuts. I've also used lite cream cheese with no change to the taste. This is great for parties and goes fast. You can put on table right from the oven or put in the new mini crockpots now out to keep warm.
