Why I Love This Recipe
Ingredients You'll Need
2 large sweet onions cut in ¼‐ to ½‐inch slices, separated into rings
1½ cup beer
1 Tbsp baking powder
1 Tbsp seasoned salt
1 egg
1½ cup flour
Oil for frying (3” deep [4 ‐ 6 cups])
Directions
1 Heat oil to 375° F.
2 Blend beer, baking powder, salt, and egg in large bowl; gradually add flour, stirring to form loose paste.
3 Dip a few onions at a time into batter, coating well.
4 Fry a few onions (do not crowd) until golden brown, turning once, about 30 seconds to 1 minute. Serve warm. Do not put in oven as they will get soggy
