BENNE SEED CARAMEL SAUCE
- 1/2 cup cream
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 Pinch salt
- 1/2 cup benne seed (sesame seed}
Heat cream in a small saucepan over low heat on stovetop.
Melt sugar in a saucepan over medium heat. When sugar is lightly golden, remove from heat and whisk in warm cream. (Use caution; mixture will bubble up.)
Whisk in butter and salt, and then fold in benne seeds.
