I gave this recipe to a friend and it won 2 People's Choice Awards at her chili cook-off! It's very light, due to the chicken substitution.

  • 1 pound ground chicken or turkey
  • 1 roll of ground sausage
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cans rotel tomatoes *as hot as you like*
  • 1 can diced or whole tomatoes *whichever you prefer*
  • 2 cans chili magic
  • 2 tbls cumin
  • 1 tbls liquid smoke
  • salt and pepper to taste

  • Brown the chicken and sausage with the diced onion. Salt and pepper to taste. When cooked through, drain off pan drippings. Add tomatoes, rotel, and chili magic. *If you desire a soupier chili, you can add another can of tomatoes*. Stir until well combined and heated through. Add cumin and liquid smoke.*For those who like the spicier side of life, add 2 tbsp of cayenne pepper*. Reduce heat to low and cook for about an hour.
