INGREDIENTS

  • For Filling:
  • 1 quart fresh blackberries (or 2 cans blackberry pie filling)
  • 1-1/2 water plus 1/2 cup
  • 2 cups sugar (or to your taste)
  • 3 Tablespoons corn starch
  • For Dumplings:
  • 2 cups Bisquick
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 stick butter

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 400 degrees





Mix 1-1/2 cups water and sugar and bring to a boil and stir.





Mix corn starch and 1/2 cup water in a seperate bowl until smooth and add into the boiling water and sugar mixture. Boil and when it starts to thicken add blackberries and boil 10 minutes.





In a seperate bowl mix Bisquick, 1/2 cup sugar and milk.





Place the butter in a sprayed 9x13 dish and melt in the oven. Once melted, pour Bisquick mix into the dish and then the blackberries.





Bake 1 hour.
