BackstoryMy favorite recipe for Blonde Brownies...given to me over 25 years ago.
- 2 ½ cups flour
- 1 t. baking soda
- 1 t. salt
- 1 cup softened butter
- ¾ c sugar
- ¾ c firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 t. vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1-12oz. pkg. semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- Combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside. In large bowl combine butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture. Mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Spread into a greased 15 x 10 pan. Bake in preheated 350° oven for 25-30 minutes. Edges should be brown. Cut into 35 squares.
