Why I Love This Recipe

Family recipe, delicious! Good use of MI, NJ or PA blueberries.


Ingredients You'll Need

2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
1/4 tsp cornstarch
3 Tbsp water
1 cup flour
1/2 cup softened margarine
1 cup finely chopped pecans
1 (8 ounce) pkg cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar


Directions

2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries


Cook the blueberries, 1 cup sugar and 1/4 cup water over low heat about 20 minutes.


Mix the cornstarcg and remaining water, then add to the above.


Combine the flour, margarine and pecans together. Press dough into a 13" x 9" x 2" baking dish. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Cool.


Cream the cream cheese and sugar together, beat until smooth. Fold in 1 (9 ounce) tub Cool Whip. Spread evenly over cooled crust. Pour blueberry mixture over the top.


Refrigerate about one hour.


Cut into squares, makes 15 servings.
