Why I Love This Recipe

My husband, a Brit, demanded I learn to make something "normal." He was always going on about bread and butter pudding, so I decided I had better learn to make it. For me, it was an acquired taste- but I know many people love it. This is the best recipe I have come across, and it is the one I now stick to. Very easy!

Ingredients You'll Need

4 slices bread
margarine
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. milk
4 Tbs. sugar
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. raisins

Directions

Preheat oven to 180 degrees C (about 350 degrees F)

Butter one side of the bread slices and cut them diagonally.

Arrange bread in two individual ramikens, overlapping/layering the bread

Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon over bread

Top with raisins

Beat the eggs lightly in a bowl, adding milk

Pour egg and milk mixture evenly over the bread

Put the ramikens into the preheated oven

Bake for 35 mins or till top is golden

Best served hot
