Broccoli, part of the cruciferous family, has been shown to help reduce the risk of developing cancer. Tumeric, too, is now being studied for its health properties.

This is a simple side dish with that packs a healthy punch!


  • 1 head broccoli, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 Tbs flax seeds
  • Tumeric, to taste


  • 1. Steam the broccoli
  • 2. Sprinkle it with flax seeds
  • 3. Gently dust with tumeric, and adjust to taste. I usually use about 1/2 tsp to start.
