Brussels Sprouts with Caramelized Onions and Fresh Thyme
2 cups brussel sprouts halved
water to cover
2 oz. butter
2 TBSP brown sugar
1 small white onion chopped
pinch of salt and pepper
1 teaspoon of fresh thyme leaves chopped
salt to taste
In pot boil brussel sprouts with water to cover between 5 minutes till tender.
Drain and put aside.
To caramelize onions; add butter and sugar in a pan and heat to medium high then add onions and stir for 1 minute.
Add brussel sprouts and coat with caramelized onions.
Add pinch of salt, pepper, thyme stirring until onions become medium dark.
