- 2 tbsp butter
- 4 tart apples, peeled, cored and
- thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer. Cover and simmer until apples are tender, about 15-20 minutes. If desired, thicken sauce with cornstarch/water.
NotesThis is a very nice side dish for when you are serving ham.
