BUTTERSCOTCH BROWNIES

  • Preparation Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 (6 ounce) packages butterscotch morsels
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • 2 cups chopped pecans

Directions

  • Melt butterscotch morsels and butter in top of a double boiler over simmering water
  • Remove from heat
  • Combine eggs and sugar, beating at medium speed of an electric mixer until smooth and fluffy
  • Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt
  • Add to creamed mixture
  • Stir well
  • Stir in butterscotch mixture and pecans
  • Pour into a lightly greased 15x10x1 inch jellyroll pan
  • Bake at 350 for 25 minutes
  • Cool completely in pan
  • Cut into 2 inch squares
  • Store in airtight containers
