BUTTERSCOTCH BROWNIES

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, shortening or vegetable oil
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

Directions

  • Preheat oven 350F. Melt butter over low heat, remove. Blend in brown sugar, cool. Stir in egg. Blend dry ingredients, then stir into wet mixture. Mix in vanilla. Spread into 8x8 baking dish. Bake 25 minutes. Cut into bars when cool.
