Butterscotch Sauce

Serves | Prep Time | Cook Time

Ingredients

1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. vinegar
1 tsp. corn starch
4 Tbsp. butter
1/4 Cup water


Combine all ingredients and cook until it reaches the desired thickness.


Really rich -- use on "real" ice cream or drizzled on cakes or in an apple pie before baking.


Yields 1 1/2 cups.

Notes

As I am diabetic I substitute the Whey Low golden for the brown sugar. Whey Low is quite expensive but this golden is as good as brown and is a great substitute.
