1 - 7.25 to 8.5 oz) jar hoisin sauce
3/4 cup honey
3/4 cup dry sherry
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tbsp. grated ginger
1 tbsp. minced garlic
1 tsp. five spice powder
1 tsp. pepper
6 lbs. or less of pork ribs
Marinade: Combine all ingredients in a small bowl.
Line a large pan with foil; add ribs and marinade.
Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Remove ribs from pan.
Pour marinade into a bowl; discard foil.
Place ribs on a rack over the pan.
Cover and bake for 2 1/2 to 3 hours in a 275 degree oven basting with marinade every 30 minutes. (or you can bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes and then turn up heat to 425 and bake 15 minutes more)
